Since Cookie's birthday was April 4th and this year Easter falls on April 4th, I decided on the theme of "In Memory of." But when they were born on April Fool's Day, I decided to call the litter the "No Fooling" litter. I am still naming the puppies in memory of my dear, sweet Cookie, and also in memory of the resurrection of our dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We had some very specific "requests" for Karli and Splash this time. We put our order in for both a male and female marked in black and white like Nelson, Gizmo and Tres, and a little white female that will be close to Nelson's size in answer to some very fervent prayers for someone who lost her first "Heavenese" to old age. Obviously, this person exhibited great faith in our Lord and Savior, and her prayers were answered. Although she was right in the middle as far as birth weight (and birth order in fact), little Hope is gaining steadily but slower than the others. After all, her prayers were answered in that Hope is white and a female, so surely the Lord would not let her grow too big!
The little boy was born first (very fitting since he is being named in memory of the resurrection) and will be named Beseme's Rising to the Occasion. His call name is "Cruz," which is "cross" or "crucifix" in Spanish. Second born is Beseme's Thanks for the Memories because I am indeed thankful for my memories of Cookie. Her call name will be "Hope" named after Bob Hope who sang this song at the end of each of his shows or performances. And lastly, is Beseme's Sweet Memory whose call name is "Cookie" because she is black and white like Cookie.
