Karli - Splash Litter
Born January 18, 2008
one Irish pied black and silver male
Karli had two puppies born after an emergency c-section because both puppies were trying to get through the canal first. The first puppy, a golden-colored male, only lived about an hour due to the fact that he had been under significant stress and probably diminished oxygen for quite some time. The second puppy survived and has been vigorous and active the entire time. I had planned on naming this litter the "Tribute" litter in honor of our dear Havanese friend, Sue Nelson, who passed away after a valiant fight with cancer on December 22, 2007. The night before Sue passed away, while I was busy wrapping Christmas presents for my children, I had the names come into my head. In honor of Sue and her adorable and multi-talented Shaggyluv Havanese (one being Karli's sire), we are naming this beautiful boy Beseme's Wee ShaggyLuv'R and calling him "Nelson." Hopefully, he will live up to his name and be a wonderful tribute to our beloved friend, Sue. As an additional note, at the very time little Nelson was making his debut into the world, Sue's first Havanese and Karli's grandsire, Shaggyluv's Energizer ("Sparky"), left this world (over 15 years in age) to join his hu-mom in Heaven. It is ironic, as I was planning on naming the other little boy Beseme's Golden Energizer and calling him "Sparky" (the "Golden" in his name was coming from Karli's grandmother, Shaggyluv's Golden Girl).
