Born: April 7, 2006

The moment Trudy was born and I realized she was a little girl, I thought to myself, this is the one I want to keep, of course, hoping that she would turn out really nice so that we could show her. At first, we thought she was a black and white parti-colored girl just like Cookie, but after a couple of days, the black started to take on a tinge of brown. As she continued to grow, she continued to change colors. Some of the areas that were white, were now coming in a light reddish brown and the black on her face was turning silver. Then the black patches on her back and rump started to change colors too. She’s registered as a silver brindle parti but only because there was not a color that really matched what she is, a silver brindle parti with red points, tan points and belton spots. As you will be able to see from her weekly pictures, her colors are ever changing.
Trudy is a little pistol. She’s taken on the role of protector at our home: protects us, protects our home and yard from intruders (including big bugs, thunder and lightening), protects her mother, and protects her “sister” Karli. In the show ring, she is little Miss Attitude, letting all of her competitors know that she’s in control. She’s a little dare devil too, just like Karli, but a face-washing kisser like her mother. Every morning, both Kizzy and Trudy wake me up by giving me a good face washing. Karli gets in the act too with her sweet, dainty kisses.
Trudy has truly gotten the best attributes from both of her parents and is a real little joy in our home. Because Trudy and all of her littermates are turning out so very wonderful, we had to plan a “remake litter” and they were born November 16, 2006 (there is even a close remake of Trudy). Seeing how Trudy reacts to her younger brother and sisters has been very interesting indeed.
